With the Federal election looming, it should come as no surprise that climate change continues to be a topic of hot debate. It is unquestionably one of the most talked about risks facing not only policy makers, but also investors and asset managers both domestically and worldwide. JANA has a dedicated ESG and SRI research team, led by Kirsten Temple, who together have recently undertaken a survey of investment managers regarding their views on the investment risks posed by climate change. The following article outlines our findings regarding managers’ perceptions of risk and, more importantly, the risk mitigation strategies being utilised to minimise risk.
