Christopher Beattie
Consultant

Chris is a qualified Actuary and a Consultant at JANA.  Chris works on a range of traditional Superannuation Fund and Endowment clients.  He is also a member of the Responsible Investment Research Team and the JANA Corporate Responsibility Group, with a particular focus on modern slavery and sustainable supply chains.

Prior to joining JANA, Chris was an Investment Consultant at Aon in Edinburgh.  His role involved providing strategic investment advice to a range of UK Defined Benefit pension scheme clients.  Chris was also a Transition Specialist, providing oversight and guidance on various asset transition and implementation projects.  Before joining Aon, Chris was an Investment Analyst at Hymans Robertson LLP in Edinburgh.

Chris has a first class honours degree in Actuarial Science from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.  He qualified as a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in 2018.

Claire Simpson
Senior Consultant, Co-Head of Infrastructure

Claire is a Senior Consultant and the Co-Head of the Infrastructure Research Team, as well as a member of the Direct Investments Unit.

Prior to joining JANA in 2010, Claire spent four years at Access Capital Advisers in the New York and Melbourne offices, specialising in direct infrastructure investments and asset management.  Claire has also gained experience in Structured Finance in Institutional Banking at Commonwealth Bank, looking at cross-border tax financing opportunities, as well as a Senior Tax Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers specialising in corporate tax and financial services.

Claire holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma with the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia (ICAA).

Cooper Young
Investment Analyst

Cooper is an investment Analyst at JANA and works with a number of JANA’s superannuation and non-superannuation clients.

Prior to joining JANA in 2020, Cooper was a Risk Analyst at the Western Australian Treasury Corporation.

Cooper holds a Master of Applied Finance from the University of Western Australia. He also completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Western Australia.

He is currently a CFA Level II candidate.

Courtney Wilder
Senior Consultant, Head of Alternatives

Courtney is a Senior Consultant and Head of the Alternative Investment Research Team at JANA. In his research role, he is responsible for leading JANA’s Alternative Investment Strategies Research team that advises traditional institutional clients on manager selection and portfolio construction across both liquid and semi-illiquid alternative and hedge fund strategies. As a Senior Consultant, he advises a number of institutional superannuation and endowment clients.

Courtney has been with JANA since 2006 and prior to his current role, he has been a member of the International equity, Australian equity and Private equity research teams within JANA in conjunction to consulting to a diverse range of institutional clients. 

Courtney is a graduate of Macquarie University with a double degree in Applied Finance and Economics and has completed the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst program.

Danielle Bose
Senior Consultant, Head of Retirement Strategies

Danielle is the Head of JANA’s Retirement Research Team and has been undertaking Retirement Research at JANA since 2010.  Danielle is an experienced Senior Consultant with a broad range of client consulting experience as well as research experience across a range of asset classes including Global Equities, Fixed Interest, Private Equity, Portfolio Construction and Responsible Investment. 

Prior to joining JANA in 2008, Danielle was a Strategy Analyst at MLC which involved delivering structured communication, including reports, presentations and business cases to the Head of Strategy and CEO.  Danielle also completed the two-year MLC Graduate Program and undertook internships at MLC and Ernst & Young as part of her tertiary education.

Danielle holds a Bachelor of Accounting (majoring in Finance and Accounting) from the University of Technology, Sydney. Danielle is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is a member of Women in Super.
