Robert Moore is a Senior Consultant and is based in JANA’s Sydney office. Robert is the Head of the Fixed Interest Research Team, leading JANA’s research into global bond, credit and currency markets and managers. This research extends from benchmark relative domestic and global managers and markets, into specific sub-sector and ex-benchmark asset classes, including bank loans, structured credit, emerging markets debt, high yield and absolute return strategies.
Prior to joining JANA, Robert spent 6 years at Russell Investments as a Senior Research Analyst within the Russell Global Fixed Income team. Robert’s direct responsibilities at Russell included researching Australasian fixed income managers, and indirectly he covered global fixed income managers alongside the other members of the global fixed income team. Robert was also the Lead Portfolio Manager for Russell’s directly managed Australian dollar fixed income investment funds, as well as the Russell Exchange Traded Bond funds, managing some $3bn in cash and bond assets for the Russell portfolios and clients.
Prior to joining Russell, Robert worked with St. George Bank, Institutional Banking (later Westpac Institutional Bank) for eleven years, in a variety of treasury and portfolio management roles covering Australian fixed income and cash, including risk and funding portfolios across a number of different fixed income and currency products.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Economics (1st Class Honours) from Monash University, a Masters of Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
