Morningstar risk director to join JANA’s growing operational consulting team

One of Australia’s largest investment consulting firms, JANA, has announced its latest hire as it expands the Operational Consulting team with the appointment of Eleanor Cheng as consultant.

Ms Cheng joins JANA following an extensive career in risk management in financial services spanning the Asia-Pacific region, working most recently as Director of Risk Management (APAC) at Morningstar. With more than 15 years of experience in operational risk management, Ms Cheng has previously held roles at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), NAB and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Ms Cheng, who will be based in Sydney, is the latest addition to JANA’s growing Operational Consulting team, reporting to Senior Consultant, Jo Leaper. The role will see Ms Cheng bring technical expertise to JANA’s clients through enhanced governance and operational due diligence research and process.

Ms Cheng’s appointment concludes an impressive hiring quarter for JANA, marking the latest in a series of senior female hires, following Ann-Mary Rajanayagam’s new role as head of technology and operation last month.
