JANA’s Property US research trip

In October 2022, JANA’s Jennifer Cowan, Senior Consultant and Alastair McIntosh Senior Consultant conducted a research trip in US. They focused on meetings with acquisition, leasing and asset management specialists, while undertaking asset inspections to assess the US real estate market from the ‘ground up’. This enabled us to gather real time trends and insights. This article shares their key takeaways from the trip.

Georgina Dudley has been announced as JANA’s next Chief Executive Officer, following a decision by current CEO Jim Lamborn to step back from this position. Incumbent CEO Jim Lamborn will remain with JANA as Executive Director and continue to provide input into JANA's commercial strategy as a senior member of the management team.

Performance Test – more questions as well as answers

The results from the second iteration of APRA’s ‘Your Future, Your Super’ Performance Test were released on 31 August. Five products failed the test; four failed for a second time and will therefore be unable to accept new members, whilst one product failed for the first time. We have outlined some of our key takeaways from the results as well as some thoughts on implications for the policy going forward.
