Carbon markets: the rules for a new global carbon market have been put in place.
Pledge on deforestation: 110 governments promise to end deforestation by 2030.
Coal, fossil fuel, and methane: 105 governments pledge to reduce methane emissions by 30% by 2030 and the “phase down” of unabated coal power.
Developing nations: Rich nations are asked to ‘at least double’ their support for adaptation measures, which will help developing countries prepare for climate change, by 2025, compared to 2019 levels.
